This charming foam-clay bunny is one of my favorite projects — cute, fun, and perfect for Easter, spring crafting, or any time you want to make something sweet and whimsical. With simple shapes and a unique technique for faking the chocolate effect, this slightly more advanced project is great for both kids and adults who already played with foam clay and know the basics.
Let’s make this little S’more Bunny you can display or gift!

Step-By-Step Video of Bunny S’mores Figure
Step 1: Shaping the Foam Clay Bunny’s Body Parts
The first step to making this cute foam clay bunny figure is to shape the head. Grab some white clay and shape a flattish ball. Put to the side.
Take a bit less clay than what you used for the head, forming a chubby teardrop for the body.
For the ears, take a small amount of white foam clay and shape it into two equally sized logs. One end should be narrower than the other end. To be able to attach the ears securely, stick a toothpick into the ears with some glue added (for extra hold). Make sure to stick it into the narrow end of the ear. You only need about half a toothpick or less.

Now shape 2 equally sized ovals for the feet. Shape 2 small teardrops for the arms.

Take a tiny amount of black clay and shape the eyeballs. (if you are not using safety eyes)
With the beige colored clay form 2 equally sized balls and flatten them. Those are the soles of the feet. Then shape 6 tiny toes. The inner ears are also going to be this color.
Create eye sockets and place black foam clay balls as eyes (or use safety pin eyes). Make a tiny black nose between the eyes and draw a short line right below it with the acrylic pen or use a tooth pick and black acrylic paint.

Step 2: Assemble All Body Parts
Stick the ears into the head and attach the head to the neck with a toothpick to hold the Head in place.

Glue the feet on the bottom of the body, slightly leaning to the outer sides. Glue the inner ears, toes, and soles on. If your clay still allows it you might not need any glue. Just press it together or use some water instead of glue.
Add some brown soft pastels on head, ears, shoulders and feet for that roasted marshmallow look.
Attach the arms with glue or water.
Step 3: Making Bunny S’mores
(Skip this part if you have your faux Cracker)
Take your silicon mold and stuff it with light brown foam clay. Release and smooth out any overhanging edges.

Shade the cracker with brown pastels.
Tip: If you are dealing with your cookie drying warped read this post to help get straighter results.
Step 4: Chocolate Sauce
Add the hot glue on top of the cracker, spreading it as melted chocolate would flow.

Place the Bunny into the still liquid hot glue and add some more on the head, ears, and feet. You want to work quickly as the glue hardens fast. To avoid strings, pull the gun away fast. You can also remove any “chocolate” strings after they harden by simply ripping them off, leaving only the thick glossy sauce.
Instead of hot glue drizzle for the chocolate details here, you can also use a pipe-on option. Try my super simple Mod Podge chocolate glaze tutorial as an alternative method for creating realistic fake chocolate if you don’t want to work with hot glue.
Step 5: Finishing Details
Draw a short line under the Bunny’s nose using a posca pen or acrylic paint with a pointy tool.
Give it some blush on its cheeks with some pink pastels and add shine to its eyes with glossy Makers Magic. (not needed when you use safety pin eyes)
Let your bunny dry for a couple of days and keep an eye on its head to catch it from drooping. If it seems to shift to one side, find a way to support it against a surface until the bunny is hardened.
There you have it – a super cute foam clay bunny figure in S’more style to add to your easter decorations!
