I have put together a beginner Foam Clay Path that will build your skill set naturally. Starting with some easy tutorial suggestions that use basic techniques and slowly adding more fun stuff on top. Feel free to divert from this path at any time, its just for when you have no idea where to start.
Start With the Mini Class (Free)
Step 1: Watch the Free Mini Class. At a minimum watch the very first video as it goes over a lot of things things that can save you many frustrations with foam clay.

How the Size System Works
Step 2: Learn the Simple Size System (No Measuring Stress)
Instead of using exact measurements in grams, I use a volume size system that keeps everything symmetric and consistent — even if your clay brand or texture is slightly different.
You can absolutely create without it, but many people find it makes things easier and more relaxing.

Once you’ve watched the basics, it’s time to make something.
This beginner-friendly project walks you through every step — and includes a free recipe so you don’t have to guess proportions.
